How Do You Rebuild Front Shock On A Motorcycle, Honda Click 125

BikerStroke – Welcome back, on this occasion we will discuss how to repair the front shock on a motorcycle. Incidentally, the motorcycle that we are going to discuss is the Honda Click 125, coincidentally this motorcycle has a twin, the Honda Click 150. So to make repairs to the front shock, it can be done the same way. The Honda Click 125 and Click 150, have the shock seal code GN5 which usually sells for around 3$. And this shock seal can also be substituted for Honda Cup C series motorcycles. For maximum work results, pay attention to the dose of the Honda Click 125 and Click 150 front shock oil. Because too much shock oil will make the motorcycle uncomfortable to ride. So the dose of Honda Click 125 and Click 150 front shock oil is 65 ml, for one side.

How to Repair Honda Click 125 and Click 150 Front Shocks

The first step we will do is prepare the equipment in advance, the equipment is in the form of a T10 mm key, 14-17 mm ring, 17-19 mm ring, T40 star L key, min screwdriver (-), L hex 6, hammer and measuring cup .

After the equipment is ready, we have to remove the front wheel by using a ring lock 14 – 17 mm and a ring 17 – 19 mm.

Then remove the front brake caliper using a T40 star L wrench and a 10 mm T wrench to remove the brake fluid hose.

The next step is to remove the front shock by using a ring lock 14-17 mm and pull down the front shock so that it can be released from the motorcycle.

Use an L hex 6 wrench to loosen the bolts at the bottom of the front shock.

Remove the shock cover of the bag using the bolt and min screwdriver and remove the bolt at the bottom of the shock that we loosened.

Remove the dust seal using a min (-) screwdriver and a hammer.

Then remove the lock wire and the front shock oil seal.

After the oil seal is removed, clean the front shock components using gasoline.

To assemble the front shock, the first step is to lubricate the shock oil on the shock seal. Then install the shock seal on the bottom tube using a hammer, but use the used shock seal as a cushion.

The next step is to attach the locking wire to the top of the oil seal and attach the dust seal by hitting it with a hammer.

Insert the damper rod and spring into the inner tube and attach the bolt to the lower shock tube. Do not forget to pour the shock oil according to the recommended dose.
